Patients in our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) receive advanced treatments and extensive monitoring from a group of highly skilled physicians called intensivists. Intensivists have earned additional certification in the medical subspecialty of Critical Care
Medicine and specialize in treating seriously ill and injured adult patients. As medical care coordinators for all patients in the ICU, intensivists consult and collaborate with patients’ primary care physicians, specialists and members of the
patient’s clinical team.
Our pediatric hospitalist team is committed to providing care to our youngest patients – infants and children ages 0 to 18 years. These physicians have received additional training in childhood diseases and illnesses and work with the medical providers involved in your child’s hospital care. When your child leaves the hospital, the pediatric hospitalist will provide your child’s primary doctor with information about your child’s condition, care received while in the hospital and any further treatment that may be required.
