ABOUT THE PROVIDER:
Dr. Brar is a board-certified psychiatrist treating patients in the community since 1993 and has been on staff at Piedmont Medical Center since 2014. Dr Brar likes to treat multiple psychiatric illnesses including but not limited to schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, ADHD, OCD etc. He is passionate about treating bipolar disorder and ADHD.
Dr. Brar was born and brought up in India where he did his medical school from, he migrated to United States in 1982, completed his adult training in adult psychiatry from Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Washington DC and child psychiatry fellowship from University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina. He has been practicing as an outpatient psychiatrist at Providence behavioral health in Charlotte, North Carolina since July 1993. Dr. Brar always knew he wants to be a psychiatrist as he listens, is empathic and caring for all of his patients as well as a patient advocate at heart.
Dr. Brar enjoys all sports but passionate about football and has been a fan of Carolina Panthers since they came into existence. When not treating patients he enjoys traveling and be with his family.
Dr. Brar enjoys outpatient practice in his clinic half of the week and equally enjoys working with hospital bound patients at Piedmont Medical Center and takes pride in working from his heart and trying to help patients reestablish their baseline by providing them with not only medications but available resources in the community.
