Once the decision to proceed with surgery has been made, you will be contacted by the Surgery Scheduler. She will work with you to coordinate the specific timing, pre-operative lab work, and pre-certification that will be required. She will also review
your insurance eligibility and benefits and inform you of your estimated financial liability for the procedure. If you are responsible for co-payments and/or deductibles, as verified by your insurance company, you will be responsible for payment of
that amount prior to your surgery. Your Surgery Scheduler will give you her direct contact phone number at the time of your meeting. Please feel free to call her with any questions prior to your surgery.
If your doctor requires a bowel prep prior to surgery, follow our instructions found at Pre-operative Bowel Prep.
In addition to performing common gynecological procedures such as total abdominal hysterectomy, vaginal hysterectomy, laparoscopic-assisted vaginal hysterectomy (LAVH), oopherectomy (removal of the ovaries), cystocele and rectocele repairs (anterior and posterior repairs), and laparoscopic tubal ligation, our physicians remain of the cutting edge of gynecologic surgery. These surgeries include daVinci robotic surgery, single incision laparoscopic surgery, and procedures for pelvic floor relaxation problems, including stress urinary incontinence. Most procedures performed are minimally invasive and are very successful in alleviating pelvic floor relaxation problems. We employ some of the newer mesh techniques to help prevent surgical failures.
