You may benefit from seeing a urogynecologist if you experience:
- Frequent or urgent peeing
- Frequent urinary tract infections
- Pain during intercourse
- Pelvic pain
- Fullness or aching in the vagina
- Experience pee or feces leaking out
- Vaginal bulging
Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery
Not all issues treated by our urogynecologists will require surgery. In fact, certain lifestyle changes, physical therapy, and/or medications may be sufficient. There may be instances, such as extreme pelvic organ prolapse, that require pelvic reconstruction surgery. When your pelvic floor becomes damaged from too much physical stress, such as childbirth, the result is a weakened ability to provide the necessary support. Our approach to pelvic floor reconstruction views the pelvis as a whole and works to correct all of the support issues so you can return to enjoying your life. We also perform surgery to correct previous surgeries.
